Job Description:
Student engagement: Works collaboratively with the Experiential Learning and Campus Inclusion team to develop marketing materials, experiential learning campaigns and plans for population specific career development programs semesterly. Aids the center in managing the implementation of infusing career services into the university community. Provides project management and cross functional coordination. Manages relationships and serves as a liaison to campus departments and communities to increase campus career service offerings, outreach to students, and types of employers recruiting at the University of Florida. Provides regular reports and analysis on relationships, initiatives, and programs to center leadership
Student engagement: Serves as a career coach to students to advance students’ career and professional development. Customizes career and professional development programs, immersive experiences, niche career fairs, workshops, and resources to connect students to experiential learning opportunities, facilitates critical reflection at all stages of their involvement and supports their career readiness and strategic success outcomes based on their career interests. Works within the career center’s student engagement plan to increase student engagement and other student success outcomes. Provides individual and group educational professional development sessions and appointments.
Industry engagement: Engages with employers in specified industries to create connections and gain knowledge and insights to share with students about inclusive hiring practices and experiential learning opportunities. Facilitates employer participation in campus inclusion and experiential learning programs, industry education activities such as C3 workshops, outreaches, events and conferences. Works within the Career Connections Center’s industry engagement plan to develop programs to connect students with industry.
Faculty and staff engagement: Works with faculty and staff to integrate career development into their curricula and advising efforts in relation to experiential learning and campus inclusion efforts. Supports faculty in their teaching of competency-based education. Partners with faculty and staff in specific units to prepare students for success. Exchanges information related to student engagement, career development, industry trends and academic learning to support career and professional development.
Tracks, reports and shares outcomes related to experiential learning, alumni engagement, career engagement, industry relations, and population specific service utilization for the purpose of telling UF’s career development and experiential learning story. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of employment trends, higher education and appropriate career development expertise. May supervise paraprofessional staff members. Performs other duties to advance the Career Connections Center’s and university strategic priorities through storytelling and collaboration.
Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor and higher authorities in the department and division. Lives out the career center’s values in all aspects of their job functions.
Training: Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) to be obtained within the first year of employment.

Expected Salary:
$50,500.00
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master’s degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR)
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career coaching, or HR
- Experience working inclusively with diverse populations
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of industry relations, employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies
SKILLS
- Skilled in computer applications
- Facilitative skills - Interpersonal skills
- Good presentations skills, listening skills, helping skills, relationship management, and program development
ABILITIES: Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
