Job Details

The Department of Economics, part of the AACSB accredited College of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor positions beginning August 28, 2023. Applicants in all fields in economics are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching interests in (a) international economics and/or macroeconomics and (b) applied econometrics and business research methods. A typical semester includes two preparations with a nine-hour teaching load. Typical class sizes range from 25 to 35 students.
 

Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability and interest in innovative and high-quality teaching, a commitment to scholarly research, and a willingness to engage in university and professional service. Applicants should have or be near completing a doctoral degree in Economics or a related field by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than April 19, 2024.
 

A complete application includes a cover letter addressing the candidate’s teaching experience and research interests, curriculum vita, current working research paper, and three confidential letters of recommendation submitted by reference providers.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability and interest in innovative and high-quality teaching, a commitment to scholarly research, and a willingness to engage in university and professional service.   • Demonstrated, robust research on economic growth, corporate finance, and credit markets.
