Position Function

Provide enterprise level technical support as a member of the Enterprise Project Support Office ( EPSO ); work with area functional team members to understand, build, support, manage and enhance processes within functional areas. This includes support of incidents (Break/ fix), requests, creation of project plans and the follow through to resolve all open issues; provide proactive support/guidance on all university systems while facilitating collaboration with functional units, Enterprise Information Systems Service staff and outsourced resources. Will be approximately 50% functional and 50% technical.

Minimum Education

Associate’s degree plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to two years. Or, High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to four years.

Minimum Experience

At least two years working with information systems; demonstrated experience in providing technical analysis of complex business processes; ability to identify and create efficiencies and improvements of those processes; two year’s experience working with using and creating reports in an enterprise reporting solution; at least one year of enterprise project management experience. Two years’ experience in understanding and creating SQL scripts.

Minimum Other

Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.

Authorization to work in the US

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in a technology or business related program.

Preferred Experience

Five years of experience working in an IT environment and two years of project management experience with large multi-faceted projects at a higher educational institution providing technology solutions at a managerial or leadership level.

Preferred Other

Two years’ experience with a higher education ERP solution (Preferably Banner).

Conduct technical and process feasibility review of incoming requests. Work with other IT staff as needed to examine projected impact on existing technologies and processes; deliver recommendations to designated representatives showing anticipated risk/reward, technical integration analysis, support requirements, duplication and overlap analysis, anticipated budget, and to support university vision.

Perform efficiency analysis of existing business processes in various functional areas. Collaborate with functional areas to identify and improve or replace inefficient business processes with more effective, sustainable and automated processes.

Work with functional team to create and maintain the scripts and processes required to extract, transform, review and move data and metadata to the appropriate data store. Review business problems and design appropriate solutions using various ETL toolsets.
