About the Opportunity
The School of Nursing invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a full-time, 52-week, benefits eligible, non-tenure track faculty position as an Open Rank Visiting Clinical Faculty, Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Programs. Visiting appointments are for a period of one year with possible renewal for another year.
Responsibilities: participation in the development, implementation, instruction, evaluation and academic advising of students in courses in the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Program. The position requires the ability to develop content for online programs and participate in in both didactic and clinical courses. The incumbent will participate in the administration of graduate student admissions, clinical placement, and ensure the highest quality of clinical training experiences for graduate nursing students, maintaining collaborative relationships with clinical agencies and institutions, and continuously developing new relationships and innovative programming in consultation from the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs and the School of Nursing Dean. The incumbent will fully participate in the School of Nursing and the Bouve College of Health Sciences faculty meetings and serve on faculty committees. Anticipated start date is summer/fall 2022.
Qualifications require a degree in nursing and earned doctorate in nursing or related field by the start date of the appointment; and eligibility for an unrestricted RN licensure in Massachusetts with national certification as warranted. Applicant should demonstrate 5 years of clinical and teaching experience in graduate or undergraduate education. Specific areas include one or more of the following: adult health nursing (ANP), family nurse practitioner (FNP), pediatric nursing (PNP), psychiatric/mental health nursing, nursing informatics, research, and foundation skills in urban or rural health nursing. The School seeks candidates whose research, teaching, and service reflect an integration of diversity and inclusion. Candidates should be prepared to provide evidence of how their research, teaching, and service have prepared them to contribute to the Bouve College of Health Sciences'.
