Position Summary - The CAMP Recruiter plans, executes, and monitors the outreach and recruitment of students from migrant or seasonal farm work backgrounds. The recruiter builds college and community partnerships to successfully transition 45 students into the PCC CAMP program each academic year. The responsibilities of this position are performed in-person to help facilitate a strong connection with prospective students. The recruiter maintains an office at the PCC Rock Creek Campus CAMP Center, but spends majority of time visiting high schools throughout Washington County, college fairs, and other community events to connect with migrant students and families. Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications. This is a Part-time position currently funded a .8 FTE (approximately 1,664 hours per year). The schedule for this role is approximately 6 hours a day, Monday - Friday.


Teamwork & Networking - Demonstrated experience building connections and partnerships between teams, team members, departments, community agencies, and key internal and external stakeholders to advance program goals. Ability to partner with different PCC departments to provide holistic student support services.

Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Competencies - Demonstrates awareness of one’s own cultural background and privilege, how it influences perceptions, values, and practices, and engages in the way they shape their relationship with students and staff. Recruitment Plan - Experience developing data-informed academic marketing and recruitment strategies for culturally-specific student populations, and utilizing technology and other organizational tools to track effective customer relationship management

Facilitation Skills - Experience in planning and implementing informational events about college-going; and presenting information to large and small groups of prospective students, families, referring partners, and other stakeholders. Required bilingual skills in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with migrant students, families, and partners.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field, student services, or other related field. Experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment or program related environment. Experience in customer oriented or student centered experience advising preferably in an academic environment. Experience in public speaking, educational marketing and recruitment. Strong organizational skills with experience in program coordination and/or office management.

Position Grade 2 Starting Salary Expectations $23.91/hr. to $25.61/hr. (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range 23.91/hr. - 41.46/hr. FTE 0.8 PCC Benefits

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is typically performed in an office environment with a high level of public contact, both over the phone and in person. During peak registration periods incumbents will typically work extended hours, including some weekends. This position requires travel within the community and PCC campuses using a personal vehicle.
