The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University is seeking to hire one or more faculty in Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Master Lecturer positions in Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related fields. This search is part of a broader, multi-year faculty hiring initiative across the College of Science & Mathematics.

A Master of Science degree is required with strong preference for candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. We anticipate hiring at the Lecturer level, but outstanding candidates may be considered at the Senior Lecturer or Master Lecturer levels.

Successful candidates must have a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and contribute to the University and profession through service. Although outstanding candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered, the preferred areas of teaching interest and expertise are mid and upper-level Statistics. The positions are 10-month full-time, renewable, and include benefits. Successful candidates will teach a total of 24 credits over two semesters, with the option to teach overload and the possibility of teaching summer classes for additional compensation.

The Department of Mathematics is one of six departments in the College of Science & Mathematics and offers the B.A. in Mathematics, B.S. in Mathematics, M.A. in Mathematics, and M.S. in Data Science. Additional relevant undergraduate and graduate degree programs (including a Ph.D.) are currently under development at both the department and college levels.
