Job Description Summary
The Finance department at Bentley University seeks applications for position(s) of tenure track Assistant Professor, to begin in Fall 2023. With a strong faculty of teacher-scholars, Bentley strives to lead higher education in the integration of global business with the arts and sciences, information technology, and corporate ethics and social responsibility. Bentley is committed to the teacher-scholar model where teaching, scholarship, and service excellence are expected and valued. The Finance department offers an array of courses supporting BS Finance, MS Finance, and MBA (Finance concentration) degrees at Bentley. We also support the Advanced Standing in Finance program ( ) where some of our top students pursue the BS and MS degrees at Bentley. The department actively engages with students outside the classroom through initiatives and support of student organizations including the Bentley Investment Group ( ), Bentley Sustainable Investment Group ( ), the Lab for Economics, Accounting, and Finance ( ), and the Trading Room at the Hughey Center for Financial Services ( ) to name a few examples. The Finance department provides strong support for faculty research through summer research grants and Bentley's subscription to a range of financial data including Factset, IBES, ISS databases, Thompson Reuters, CRSP Mutual Fund, Trace, SDC, to name a few, in addition to standard databases such as CRSP and Compustat. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should have a doctoral degree in finance or a related field and should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarly research. We have a strong preference for candidates with teaching experience in Finance at both the undergraduate and graduate-level (MBA/MS programs) and for candidates with ability to teach FinTech courses, as well as having evidence of potential to publish in well regarded academicjournals.
