Assistant Professor, Communication

 

Medaille University seeks a full-time, Assistant Professor to teach in the Communication Program starting in August, 2023. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach courses in the area of communication and digital media. A communication generalist with a background in emerging digital media is welcome. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching in a small college setting and to the education of diverse populations. In addition, candidates will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment dedicated to student learning. Faculty are required to foster a diverse, inclusive and welcoming learning environment. Candidate will be able to lead program projects, assist in writing and developing curriculum, participate in recruitment efforts and assist in the advisement of the campus media club. A strong industry network is an advantage.

 

A doctorate in communication or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is preferred and prior teaching experience an advantage. Master’s Degree with demonstrated digital media and communication expertise also considered.
