This position is responsible for coordinating, planning,
developing, testing, and deploying software packaging utilizing
various software tools across an array of systems for the entire
• Enterprise administration of desktop infrastructure consisting of
(OS) imaging, software updates and anti-virus compliance, and
configuration policies for all workstations.
• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) administration and
• Server administration for systems related to desktop
• Application packaging and distribution for BYOD or UT owned
• Mobile device management and administration for BYOD or UT owned
• Create scripts to automate and administer systems across the
• Enterprise-wide workstation policy administration and active
directory permissions for desktop admins and computer
• Encryption administration for workstations using principal
• Responsible for EPIC BCA configurations and Hyperspace
• Coordinate oversight of work for student technicians and provide
training to enhance their career development.
All members of the University Infrastructure Team rotate on-call
responsibilities to ensure 24x7x365 availability of the enterprise
o Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study (i.e., Computer
Science, Electronics, Information Systems, etc.) is required. Other
areas of study will be considered with five years of relevant
o Detailed knowledge of current Microsoft and Apple operating
o Experience administering workstations utilizing Microsoft
o Experience with creating test plan documents.
o Basic understanding of networking infrastructure and
o Four years of experience maintaining computer workstations and
Intel-based hardware in a large network environment (500 PCs

o Experience with application packaging using ThinApp, Adminstudio,
Casper Suite, InstallShield and MSI repackaging.
