Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is
looking to hire an Associate Registrar to join the Office of the
Registrar's Team. Embry-Riddle's Prescott Campus is respected
worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s
aviation, aerospace, security, and intelligence leaders. Prescott
is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather
excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80°F in the summer and
45°F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild
climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national
forests. The university is a small, private, residential university
in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students.
Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central
theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and
120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
The Associate Registrar for the Office of the Registrar supports
the management and supervision of all functions performed within
Primary responsibilities include:
Provides oversight for all functions related to academic evaluation
to include, but not limited to: managing evaluators and conducting
their performance evaluations, development and maintenance of
degree progress measurement tools (AAR’s, evaluation check sheets),
transfer credit evaluation, milestones, rATP, articulation
agreements, and course equivalency guides.
Assist in the production of annual campus catalog, curriculum
inventory management, and Campus Solutions updates.
The person in this position is expected to independently oversee
the above-listed processes and personnel.
Other responsibilities may include:
Update, create and troubleshoot academic advising reports (AAR) in
response to changes in the current curriculum. Assists with student
service requests and term processing during peak periods such as
registration, graduation, grading and academic standing. Works with
students and advisors and College Deans to help resolve student
issues. Assists with review, configuration, implementation and
testing of new technology or updates to existing software tools.
Assists faculty with curriculum proposal development and review to
ensure that university degree requirement policies met. Processes
final grades for graduating students. Recalculates GPAs for
graduation honors, ABET accreditation requirements, grade
forgiveness requirements, and degree completion eligibility. Audits
transcripts for accuracy of final GPAs and degree notations. Review
all functions and assists with strategic planning and assessment,
development of new initiatives or enhancements. E nsure compliance
with University policies, and Federal and State regulations .
Serves on various committees to represent the department.
Participates is ad-hoc projects. Develops and delivers training
services as needed. Assists with other office duties such as
registration, orientation, and commencement.
The person in this position is expected to suggest and assist in
the development of processes and personnel that streamline
operations and cost effectively improve student services from
admissions to graduation. Includes review, configuration and
testing of technology tools. They play a key role in facilitating
cooperation and collaboration within the office, with their
counterparts in Daytona Beach and Worldwide as well as with
Prescott Campus faculty and staff.

Bachelor’s degree. Area of study: Higher Education Administration,
counseling, organizational management, communication, or related
Minimum of three to five years related work experience.

Comfortable with and experienced in configuration and testing of
software systems. Previous experience with Student Records module
of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions highly desired.
- General knowledge of accepted practices at other academic
institutions; understanding of and ability to enforce academic
policies and procedures, standards and curricula
- Familiarity with non-traditional educational sources of college
level advanced standing credit, such as the military guide from the
American Council of Education and national or international such as
CLEP, DANTES and International Baccalaureate
- Experience in advising and student interaction ; ability to
troubleshoot student issues
- Familiar with the basic operations of the Registrar’s Office
and best practices in the industry
