Job/Department Summary:

Working independently under general supervision, incumbent is primarily involved directly in developing, writing and/or editing a
variety of print or electronically-based communication materials for CME and its department and programs, as well as coordinating related public affairs, media, community relations and marketing activities. Incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external constituents to ensure that the public and College alums receive relevant, timely, and positive information about the university and its programs. as well as other specific responsibilities relative to the ongoing management of communication materials on the College web-site.

Additionally, the incumbent provides a variety of administrative support for the College of Communication and Education (CME) Dean, Associated Dean, Senior Assistant to the Dean, staff, faculty and students for outreach, philanthropy, and marketing efforts. This position independently coordinates CME events, the CME scholarship process time line, tracks and reconciles CME University Foundation Project budgets and expenditures. Incumbent also provides support to Development with fundraising activities, researching potential donors, maintaining a tracking system for major donor prospects and suspects, donor stewardship, event management, support of travel plans and maintaining the Development annual budget.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Bilingual.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Required Education and Experience:

The qualifications for this position are normally obtained through a college degree, which includes relevant coursework in the field, and three years of related professional or technical experience,
AND
Three years of related professional or technical experience such as organizational communications, media, marketing, or public relations.

Time Base: Full-time


Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30.

Salary and Benefits Information:

$3,761 - $6,803 per month / $45,132 - $81,636 annually (Initial placement within the salary range for new employees is contingent upon education and experience).

This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver (if eligible).
