Job Summary

The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a full-time faculty member at the rank of either Associate Professor or Full Professor in Information Systems for Fall 2023.

The Information Systems Group is a small and collegial unit within Leeds. Our focus tends to be on using machine learning and natural language processing to solve real-world problems, but we also have extensive experience in theory development and measurement. Some of the technology artifacts created within the group have been among the most successful in the IS discipline.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Job Duties for Full and Associate Professor:
  • Research, teaching, and service to the university and profession in the field of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related discipline.
    • The candidate will engage students and faculty from diverse disciplines and actively participate in curriculum development and other programmatic initiatives that encourage curiosity and creativity within research and learning.
  • The position provides an opportunity to engage with a breadth of technology initiatives and departments, including Computer Science, Information Science , ATLAS, and Silicon Flatirons.

What We Can Offer
  • Advanced Associate Professor: the salary range for this position is $183,000-$208,000 annually.
  • Full Professor: the salary range for this position is $225,000 - $274,000 annually.

What We Require
Requirements for Associate Professor:
  • Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent in information systems, information science, computer science, or other related disciplines, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated superior accomplishments including scholarly research, teaching ability, promise of future contributions, and effective interaction with faculty colleagues, students, and external constituents.

Requirements for Full Professor:
  • Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent in information systems, information science, computer science, or other related disciplines, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated superior accomplishments including scholarly research, teaching ability, promise of future contributions, and effective interaction with faculty colleagues, students, and external constituents.
    • Note: quality of research and research productivity can warrant eligibility for Full Professor.
