The assistant director of graduate admissions and recruitment for Falk College will be responsible for a full range of duties which will include recruiting prospective graduate students and coordinating the admissions process for Falk College’s masters, certificate of advanced studies and doctoral programs. In addition to being the prime contact for prospective students and coordination of application review, they will plan and execute on-campus and virtual recruitment events develop travel schedules and research areas of opportunity with regards to recruitment. Qualifications
  • Master’s degree required and 2-4 years graduate recruiting experience at the college/university level.
  • Ability to provide, oversight and management of admission recruitment cycle and graduate student enrollment.
  • Ability to manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recruitment activities. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of software (Slate, PeopleSoft, Target X etc.).
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to diversity and an appreciation for working with diverse populations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as highly collaborative nature and proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to facilitate work between a wide range of individuals and groups including prospective students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

  • Assist director of Falk admissions in the development and coordination of the graduate recruitment strategies for Falk graduate programs.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of Falk communications plan to prospective and admitted graduate students.
  • Communicate and build relationships with prospective students via email, phone, zoom and in-person appointments.
  • Counsel prospective graduate students regarding Falk graduate program options and application processes.
  • Work with support staff to coordinate on-campus and virtual admission events and visits. Develop relationships with world partner programs (Fulbright, Open Society, etc.) to increase enrollment of international students.
  • Develop and implement recruitment and communication strategies to reach out to underrepresented populations.
  • Plan graduate recruitment calendar with a timeline of activities, including mailings, travel, purchases, and events.
  • Implement outreach and other recruitment strategies for attracting students into Falk programs, including partnering with faculty, staff, central admissions, and other colleges.
  • Oversee recruitment communication for Falk College departments. Act as liaison to the various graduate departments involved in recruitment.
  • Work with department chairs, graduate program coordinators, and administrative assistants regarding recruitment activities and admission process.
  • Travel for recruitment purposes. Attend recruiting functions sponsored by SU and local feeder colleges and universities, as well as graduate fairs and conferences across the US. Represent Falk Graduate Programs to the University community and the public.
  • Track applications and the application process and evaluate recruitment efforts, using a variety of university software, Collegenet, Peoplesoft, Onbase, and TargetX, as well as reviewing university enrollment reports. Prepare implementation of new software Slate.
