Position Summary:
Working under the general direction of the Athletic Events Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in managing and supervising athletic event services for activities taking place in the Kibbie Activity Center, ICCU Arena, Memorial Gymnasium, East Practice Field, Dan O’Brien Outdoor Track Complex, Guy Wicks Field and other athletic facilities. This position will also assist in managing facilities, equipment and staffing to support programs, activities, and day to day facility operations as they pertain to athletic events. This position is responsible in assisting the Athletic Events Manager in developing, monitoring and managing the program/activity budgets, contracts and logistics associated with individual athletic events; supervising and evaluating performance of staff and ensuring completion of all project activities. This position will go through December 16, 2022.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in related area.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to:

• Develop and manage events and activities.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate written materials such as policies and procedures, technical and training manuals, contracts and visiting team information guides.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, promoters, event organizers, athletic dept. employees and the general public.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to move about and between venues for extended periods of time up to a full day of work.
