Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Provide quality and timely technical and customer service support for the Janes Financial Center and assist students enrolled in Bloomberg Certification program with how to utilize Bloomberg terminals. Act as technical support to finance students utilizing the Janes Financial Center. Ensure all Janes Financial Center technology are working properly. Address technology issues in a timely manner. Assist with Hoag Center for Real Estate events. Work with ASBE Associate Director of Operations to process contracts and payments for technology and software. Design and manage databases. And log all usernames, passwords and instructions for technology and accounts related to the Janes Financial Center. Chartered Financial Analyst designation required. And other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Manage and provide technical support for the Janes Financial Center and Hoag Center
Applicants for Staff and Administrator positions must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Chapman University does not sponsor applicants for Staff and Administrator positions for work visas.
The offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion and outcomes of a criminal background screening, and returning to the Office of Human Resources a signed original acceptance of the Chapman University Agreement to Arbitrate.

Responsibilities
Manage and provide technical support for the Janes Financial Center and Hoag Center
- Deliver training seminars on the use of Bloomberg terminals.
- Monitor performance of web-based Bloomberg terminals, troubleshooting and resolve technical problems.
- Assist users of the Bloomberg terminals.
- Train and assist students (on an individual basis) with application of financial and investment concepts utilizing Bloomberg data and functions.
- Assure that all software and applications in Janes Financial Center are updated, tested and functioning properly.
- Schedule use of Janes Financial Center
- Develop new applications of Janes Financial Center including installation of new software and finance platforms.
- Work with faculty to facilitate ways to integrate the Janes Financial Center into business course curricula.
- Document and track Janes Financial Center issues and resolutions while proactively identifying trends for improving performance.
- Participate in the design and updates to the Janes Financial Center in conjunction with IS&T.
- Track usage of the Janes Financial Center.
- Design and manage databases monitoring the performance of Orange County Publicly Traded Businesses.
- Develop reports on trends among Orange County Real Estate and Financial Services firms
- Design and manage databases measuring Argyros School impact on the business and academic community.
- Identify, gather, and summarize Argyros School research relevant to financial services and real estate professionals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in providing administrative support in a professional office.
- Experience with Bloomberg terminals including Bloomberg certification.
- Experience in using web console management tools with knowledge of standard web scripting languages, database integration, and web server.
- Experience in using multiple current social media and web publishing platforms for marketing and communication.
- Demonstrated technical skills in Adobe CS 5.5
- Strong technical skills to learn, use, and provide training of administrative systems including PeopleSoft.
- Experience in providing timely and customer-focused services preferably to faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate projects from development to completion.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to communication and explain technical terms in a non-technical language.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative without constant supervision.
- Ability to carry out duties in a timely manner and to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions, and fluctuating workload.
- Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of contents.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent education and experience.
- Understanding of financial trading theories and principles.
- Experience in internet marketing including the usage of Google Analytics, knowledge in conversion optimization, search engine optimization, and management of email marketing solution provide Constant Contact.
- Knowledge of Argyros School programs, services, and processes.
