About the Opportunity

The Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University invites applications for one or more positions at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor/Associate Teaching Professor/Full Teaching Professor beginning January or September 2023 at our campus in San Jose CA, where we offer MS programs in Computer Science and Data Science. We also offer the Align program, a national initiative to close America's tech diversity gap by offering an innovative Master of Science in CS or DS for non-computer science majors. We are seeking highly motivated individuals committed to high-quality, inclusive teaching and equity in computer science. Full-time appointments at all ranks are renewable, career-focused, non-tenure-track positions with responsibilities in teaching and service.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking faculty to teach graduate courses, from introductory in the Align program to core and advanced electives in Computer Science and/or Data Science. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses, will create course content and materials, and they will collaborate with colleagues to develop academic relationships within the university and the local community. Building relationships with students and service to the college and university are integral components of the position. Khoury College also supports teaching faculty who choose to pursue impactful activities beyond teaching and service responsibilities. Some teaching faculty are active in research and scholarship, others in diversity initiatives, and still others in service to the college, University, or the local community.

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution by the appointment start date.
