Centre College invites applications for a tenure-track position (rank and salary commensurate with experience) in Data Science to begin in August 2023. The successful candidate will join a growing Data Science program, contributing expertise and experience in areas such as business analytics, environmental physical science, physics, or engineering. We are open to candidates of different ranks and backgrounds, and established candidates may be considered for an endowed-chair position.

Candidates should be qualified and excited to teach courses in introductory and advanced data science within their area of expertise, along with courses that fulfill requirements in the General Education curriculum, such as partnering with community/industry-based organizations to address real-world issues. Collaborative research with undergraduates is expected and supported. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment (August 2023) or an advanced degree with extensive practice within the field.
