The Project Specialist works with the Director of the New Perennials Project, a multi-year, grant funded framework that explores perennial perspectives in agriculture and in broader social and cultural applications, with particular emphasis on teaching and learning, agriculture and food systems, healing and creative arts, and sacred practice traditions. In an administrative role the position ensures the grant budgets and projects are managed and executed.


The work involves a high level of engagement with internal and external program partners. As such, the position requires outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks.


This is considered a part-time hourly benefits eligible position. The salary range for the position is $33.61 - $42.02 per hour.


This is a grant-funded term limited appointment from October 2022 - June 2023 with potential to extend position, contingent upon continued funding.





Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Event and project planning and coordination

  • Website management and production of outreach and publicity materials

  • Assist with facilitation of projects and programming related to NPP and its partners in Vermont's Champlain Valley

  • Participate in NPP educational activities, including co-advising NPP interns and assisting, as needed, in the NPP course offered every fall


General Responsibilities:

  • Provide budget management and other related administrative support

  • Respond to general inquiries from the public, students, faculty and staff regarding the NPP-Midd program

  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education:


Master's degree in related field.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



  • Event and project planning and coordination

  • Website management and production of outreach and publicity materials

  • Assist with facilitation of projects and programming related to NPP and its partners in Vermont's Champlain Valley

  • Participate in NPP educational activities, including co-advising NPP interns and assisting, as needed, in the NPP course offered every fall.


Experience:


Ten or more years of experience teaching and project management in a related field.


Other:


Offer is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
