Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus and clinical sites in Idaho and Washington
Work Shift - Approximately 19 hours per week to include one clinical night shift, typically 5:30 PM - 5 AM.

Multiple part-time positions available for both Associates Degree Program and Practical Nursing Program.

The majority of clinical facilities require faculty and students to be fully immunized for Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Seasonal Influenza and COVID-19.

Job Summary:
The individual in this position is responsible for the clinical/lab instruction of students in the Nursing Program. Utilizes clinical facilities across the region in northern Idaho and Eastern Washington.

Job Duties:


This list includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Provides clinical instruction and supervision of students in the clinical and lab settings
  • Evaluates students’ performance in lab and clinical
  • Provides constructive feedback to students on skills performance and clinical behavior
  • Communicates student progress with Program Director and teaching team in a consistent and timely manner
  • Becomes familiar with the assigned textbook(s) and requirements for successful completion of the program and NCLEX exam
  • Prepares classroom presentations and hand-outs
  • Provides instruction utilizing non-traditional delivery methods at various times which may include evenings
  • Attends department and program meetings as an active participant
  • Participates in professional development activities
  • Develops an understanding of and maintains a commitment to the mission of the community college
  • Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with the Director of Nursing, college staff, students, and the community
Marginal Duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and professional and/or teaching experience in nursing is required; a minimum of three years recent Med/Surg nursing experience is required. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds

Required License and/or Certifications :
Must possess or be able to obtain an Idaho and Washington State Nursing License

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Demonstrable teaching effectiveness in medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with current learning technologies
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and current version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Internet, and alternative delivery systems (e.g. internet and interactive video) at a proficient level.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone, fax, copier

Drug Screening

Drug Screening may be required for some clinical facilities.
