Position Summary

The Director of Client Services reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief Information Officer and is responsible for leading and managing Information Technology Services ( ITS ) Client Services. This position is responsible for providing exceptional IT services through the management of the ITS helpdesk function, endpoint management function, deployment function including, students open labs, department labs, research lab, ITS classrooms, and student printing.

This position assists the Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief Information Officer in developing and directing strategic information technology plans related to ITS Client Services. This includes formulating campus wide polices, standards and procedures. The Director of Client Services will explore and advise the Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief Information Officer on information management best practices and the incorporation of new information technology.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology-related field from an Accredited 4-year College or University (or equivalent field-related experience).
  • Application of Industry Standard IT Best Practices.
  • Interpersonal relationship management and dealing with conflicting needs and demands for services.
  • Budget preparation, presentation, control, and monitoring.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to provide exceptional ITS and technology-related communications to faculty, staff, students, and external audiences.
  • Ability to effectively and creatively multitask and lead multiple and varied IT projects.
  • Experience with administering complex and diverse technology programs and staff.
  • Ability to motivate and guide a diverse staff with outstanding personnel management skills.
  • Experience providing quality service and support to instructional and administrative programs.
  • Experience with PC, MAC, iOS, and Android platforms, operating systems, and software.
  • Outstanding technical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or better in Technology related field of study.
  • 7 years of experience on IT leadership experience
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing policies.
  • Personnel supervision and management
