Overview

The Application Delivery Analyst will join a team that supports approximately 175 users at McCosh Health Center and other campus sites (Dillon Gymnasium, Caldwell Field House, Baker Rink and others). Currently in use are two highly available (24/7) practice management/electronic health record software systems (student health, approximately 125 users, and occupational health, approximately 14 users), and ancillary systems (digital radiology, point-of-care diagnostic testing, etc.). The Application Delivery Analyst is responsible for process improvement and the implementation and maintenance of software and hardware systems.



Responsibilities

Customer Support/Operation Maintenance (30%)

    serves as technical subject matter expert for both the student health and the occupational (employee) health information management systems in use at UHS troubleshoots and resolves technical problems with the health information management systems, including application, integration, and data issues; assists users with technical problems related to their software and hardware through troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation, as required promotes user adoption and fluency with the applications we provide supports user onboarding including granting approved access and orienting new users supports large-scale clinics such as sports physicals and vaccinations by enabling data collection and collaborating on optimal clinic flow
IT Operations Support (40%)

    integrates changes to the computing environment as they are introduced and helps users absorb the benefits of these changes, for example, medical software version upgrades or university-wide platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc. performs system maintenance tasks, including security audits documents solutions, processes, and other helpful reference information for use by both user base and IT colleagues automates data feeds using MS SQL Server and other utilities develops and maintains interfaces for data transmission including those involving specialty hardware devices collaborates with the university's central Office of Information Technology (OIT) whenever appropriate
System Implementation and Process Improvement (30% )

    identifies user needs, analyzes process options, and recommends solutions plans and implements system improvements; implements new modules and functionality in collaboration with vendor and users; consults with users to establish effective procedures takes an active role in new initiatives as they arise, in response to work demands or trends in healthcare and student health


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    B.S. or equivalent education and experience Six years of diverse experience in Information Technology field including programming, business needs analysis, solution design, development, implementation, systems security best practices, user support for both hardware and software, technical documentation, and user education Advanced usage knowledge of Windows operating environment, Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook email and calendaring, Teams, SharePoint), ServiceNow, and Adobe Acrobat Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with wide range of technical, medical, and support personnel, vendors, and the University community Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and conceptual and logical abilities Demonstrated successes working in a collaborative environment as well as independently Ability to multi-task between and among projects and systems Understanding of database design and management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience in a health care setting Knowledge of University systems Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools Familiarity with a wide range of devices including iPads, iPhones, and tablet computers, as well as web content management tools and HTML General knowledge of practice management/health record systems, especially Medicat and Enterprise Health Proficiency in SQL ITIL certifications
