Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs, 20 hours per week

Pay Grade/Pay Range: $19.97- $24.96 *Actual pay depends on qualifications

Position Summary: Paramedic Lab Clinicians are responsible for assisting with the instructional needs of EMS course laboratory sessions. This position works is eligible to work within all EMS courses with lab.

Required Qualifications: Kansas PARAMEDIC or higher occupational licensure. Candidate must attach PDF of current Paramedic license or higher when applying for consideration
Associates Degree or five years FT EMS experience or equivalent PT (13,500 hours) Candidate must attach PDF of unofficial transcripts when applying for consideration
Working knowledge of EMS equipment

Preferred Qualifications: Current or recent experience in transporting EMS work (emergency ambulance operations and related patient-care experience)
Bachelors Degree or higher. Candidate must attach PDF of unofficial transcripts when applying for consideration
AHA CPR, PALS, ACLS or PHTLS Instructor- current certification - attach PDF of any current instructor cards
Kansas Instructor Coordinator (I/C) certification- attach PDF of card if currently certified

To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, Kansas EMS Certification Card, and other related certifications/License.

*Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.



Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Psychomotor instruction- Lab Clinicians are responsible for assessing, reviewing and correcting student performance within the psychomotor domain in small group settings
  • Equipment maintenance- Lab Clinicians are required to be responsible stewards of JCCC and program equipment and facilities
  • Professional EMS Licensure - Maintenance of KSBEMS licensure and internal training requirements- Kansas statutes and regulations require that any EMS instructional staff be in “good standing” and licensure at or above the level of licensure in which they instruct students and JCCC staff are required to complete training required by the department and/or JCCC
