Summary:
Utah Valley University is seeking a Curriculum Manager! The Manager will be responsible for the development of curriculum, assessment, and accreditation documents for academic courses and programs. Coordinates with academic offices and departments in the development and submission of program development documents (R401). Ensures coordination and compliance with UVU Board of Trustees, Utah System of Higher Education, and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Works with Course & Lab Fee committee to maintain and enter fees into systems. Conducts curriculum reviews for feasibility, sustainability, and compliance with standards as developed by the institution and external accreditation agencies. Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and one to two years of experience related to the summary of duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling six years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of curriculum and program development and academic policies within the institution, state, and outside accrediting bodies.
  • Knowledge of course, program, and institutional learning outcomes.
  • Knowledge of microcomputers and applicable word processing, database or spreadsheet software, presentation software, page layout software.
  • (Knowledge of Banner preferred).
  • Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and equipment.



Skills:
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Skills in developing training materials.

Abilities:
  • Ability to plan and organize production calendars and time tables.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to organize and manage complex projects.
  • Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and guidelines and remain current with changes.
  • Ability to work professionally with diverse personnel and higher administration.
