Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Counseling Center is committed to assisting each student reach
their full potential, while fostering the institution’s mission of
providing a transformative liberal arts education for
intellectually curious students in a collaborative, academically
vibrant residential community that values a diverse world. This
position assists students and campus stakeholders by providing
appropriate interventions, referrals and follow-up services to on
and off-campus resources.
The clinician will provide short term, solution focused individual
counseling, group counseling when appropriate, comprehensive case
management, and crisis intervention for the student
Current independent licensure in MA as a Social Worker ( LICSW ) or
Licensed Mental Health Counselor ( LMHC ), or actively working
Experience working with College Age / Transitional Age students.
Ability to speak languages other than English. Ability to work well
with a variety of campus constituencies, parents, faculty,
administrators etc. Experience with and ability to relate to and
identify with students of diverse backgrounds and identities.
