The Department of Biology and Environmental Science at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a 9-month lecturer position beginning January 2021. The Department seeks candidates with an earned master’s or doctoral degree in physiology, microbiology, and/or in a cell or molecular biology discipline of medical relevance. Teaching experience is required and candidates who employ innovative, evidence-based teaching practices are preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities for this position will focus on anatomy and physiology and/or microbiology, with an emphasis on better preparing undergraduates for success as scholars and professionals. Opportunities for teaching upper level undergraduate (and potentially graduate) courses in the candidate’s field are available.

The successful candidate will also be expected to develop experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students and will have the potential to access shared research space for such opportunities. A commitment to university, community, and professional service is also expected.
