Temporary Operations Coordinator-Track and Field

About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for assisting in the logistics of program and operational management of the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the management of various administrative duties such as; organization of team calendars, meet day itineraries and meals; assist in the preparation of practice. Coordinates communications with friends, family, and alumni; coordinate with SID to increase social media engagement, assist with creating recruiting lists, managing equipment and apparel inventories, organizing home meets, summer camps and clinics, and junior days; promotes sports camps as appropriate; assists with budget development and monitors expenditures; meets with head coach on a regular basis; represents the program at functions and events as necessary. Position is also responsible for other duties assigned by the head coach.

Bachelor's Degree required. Background in cross country and/or track & field is preferred but not required. Master's degree preferred. Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to take initiative, analyze problems and prioritize assignments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Professional front office person with administrative/office experience preferred. Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
