The Counseling & Testing Center ( CTC ) at the University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse ( UWL ) is seeking two (2) skilled Counselors
who are dedicated to promoting the mental health of our students.
The successful candidate(s) hired will be joining a dedicated and
energetic staff at the CTC who are committed to cultural
self-awareness and ongoing CTC and campus efforts to offer
inclusive and accessible services to our students.
In addition to brief counseling services, our office engages in
active collaboration with campus partners, develops training and
programming to address student mental health needs, and engages in
innovative service delivery methods to increase access to

triage assessments, and professional counseling services (including
individual, couples, and group) to our students.

Working conditions and environment
Typical office hours (7:45am-4:30pm). Evening hours may be required
as we expand our services (e.g., one evening/week), with a schedule
adjustment made to maintain an average of 40 hours/week onsite.
While no after-hours crisis coverage is required, our clinical
staff members occasionally provide evening outreach programming and
may be called in for a campus crisis response.

The Division of Student Affairs’ role is to enhance and support
students learning experience here at UWL . We work closely with
faculty, staff, community members, alumni and most importantly,
students to provide quality programs and services which promote
learning, leadership, involvement, service and the celebration of
