The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of rhinologic/skull base surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Subspecialty training in rhinology and skull base surgery is strongly encouraged. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident, and fellow education, as well as formal lecture opportunities.

Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with rhinologic/skull base conditions. The successful applicant will have experience in performing aspirin desensitization, experience with skull base tumor surgical treatment, and will initiate the clinical/treatment of a Chemosensory Disorders Clinic.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a strong interest in developing a clinical and translational research program suitable for external federal funding. Candidates must document past research experience and present future ideas. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track. Applicants should have an established record of scholarship activity and/or research programs related to Rhinology, especially chemosensory disorders and/or Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease management.
