Colgate University is seeking qualified candidates for a Advancement Communications Manager within the Office of Communications. Accountabilities
Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Campaign Communications Director, this position is focused on institutional advancement communications. The advancement communications manager is accountable for content creation for cross-platform communications that support, increase the engagement of, and steward alumni, parents, and other supporters, in the areas of fundraising, career services, and alumni relations. Professional Experience/ Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in advancement, alumni relations, communications, project management, marketing, recruitment, public relations, or journalism.
  • Excellent writing, editing, publication, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative while under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen and respond to differing points of view and the ability to move towards resolution.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and Google docs is required.
  • Must be capable of creating and maintaining productive and collegial working relationships with a culturally diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and visitors on a daily basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience in higher education advancement or alumni relations preferred.
Education
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field is desirable.
