The Office of Facilities Management is seeking candidates for Senior IT Project Manager role.
The College of New Jersey is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will manage key technology related projects. Project management responsibilities include delivering projects on time, within budget and within scope.
Reporting to the Capital Projects Finance Director, the Sr IT Project Manager is primarily accountable for IT related projects. The Sr IT Project manager may supervisor, participate, and/or lead multiple technology projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Determine project goals and priorities with project sponsor(s), project owners(s) and other key stakeholders
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Establish and communicate clear priorities and project activities
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and mitigating actions
- Manage and resolve project issues and risks, escalating as appropriate
- Prepare project status reports as needed
- Provides supervision over specific projects as assigned and may supervise other project managers
- Supervise staff
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University
- Proven work experience in project management, preferably IT related projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
- Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of standard office and PM software. Prefer MS-Project, Visio, TeamDynamix, G Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification is a plus
