The Office Facilities Operations is seeking candidates for the position of Repairer in the Electrical Shop.

Under the direction of the Supervisor of the Electrical Shop the Repairer is responsible for various types of electrical repair work involving the installation, repair, adjustment, and maintenance of electrical systems, components, and related parts and equipment of said systems; in addition to other related work as required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provides preventative maintenance to all electrical related systems and equipment in a safe manner. Replaces parts, fixtures as required; lubricates parts as needed, and cleans and adjusts components as necessary. Makes emergency electrical repairs as needed.
  • Provides maintenance and repairs to generating and control equipment, relays, motors, pumps, switches, outlets, and other electrical wiring cables, fixtures and appliances of varied types.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the repair of all types of electrical fixtures, lighting, lamps, pumps, motors, systems, and equipment.

  • High School Diploma

  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance of all types of electrical fixtures, lighting, lamps, pumps, motors, systems, and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred demonstrated minimum of three (3) years of broad experience in commercial/industrial or higher education environment as an electrician in work involving the installation, inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems, circuits, and related equipment.
