Overview

The Keller Center creates societal impact through entrepreneurship, design and design thinking, and innovative education. The Keller Center is based in Princeton University's School of Engineering and Applied Science and shares the school's vision for bridging disciplines to ensure that all students are prepared to put science and technology to use in solving critical societal challenges. The Center seeks a Business Operations Administrator. This position is part of the Keller Center's Digital Media and Communications (DMC) team which also consists of the DMC Manager and the Communications Coordinator. This position also interacts with all Keller staff, faculty, and other University colleagues to provide analytics about Center programs, events, and digital channels, and assists the DMC Manager in researching, architecting, and implementing technology solutions and also analyzing, improving, and documenting business processes for the organization. In this position, the incumbent must embody and embrace the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the Center and must be able to work effectively in a highly creative and fast-moving organization. This position uses discretion to prioritize and execute tasks in a manner that results in a highly efficient and productive environment through the use of technology and processes to support the Center's faculty, staff, students, external constituents, and programs. The person in this position will be expected to perform hands-on tasks like updating the website and uploading videos to YouTube. While this is not a technical support position, the person in this role may occasionally be asked to troubleshoot a technology issue or show a staff or faculty member how to perform a technology task.



Responsibilities

Technology support and business analysis:

  • Research, architect, and implement technology solutions
  • Analyze, improve, and document business processes
  • Help build a Keller Center playbook of processes and help guides
  • Help maintain the Keller Center website (Drupal) including content for Center staff
  • Help design and conduct usability and accessibility tests for Center digital channels
  • Perform assorted technology tasks as needed
  • Support Center staff in the use of technologies including Drupal, MailChimp, FormAssembly, EventBrite, Monday.com, LastPass, MS Office, G Suite, and Mural
Analytics:

  • Oversee and manage the Center's Salesforce customer relationship management software
  • Standardize, maintain, and report on Salesforce data to support Keller Center data needs
  • Integrate data from University systems (Blackboard, PeopleSoft) and third-party services (FormAssembly, EventBrite, MailChimp) to Salesforce
  • Perform data analytics for Salesforce, the Keller Center website, social media sites, and events, and other platforms as needed
General Administrative Support:

  • Maintain inventory of Center software, licenses, and who are the administrative and billing contacts
  • Process vendor invoices
  • General administrative and technology support as needed


Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree or 7-9 years of relevant work experience

  • Familiarity and understanding of web and social media technologies
  • Training and certification in usability, accessibility, and web best practices
  • Training and/or certification in analytics and metrics reporting
  • Expertise in graphic design is a plus
  • Training and certification in project management
  • Experience generating analytics for channels like the web, social media, and e-newsletters using services such as Google Analytics and built-in analytic reporting tools
  • Candidates must have demonstrated broad knowledge in and experience using a variety of technologies including:
    • Customer relationship management software like Salesforce
    • Website content management software like Drupal or WordPress
    • Project management software like Monday.com or ActiveCollab
    • Forms software like FormAssembly, Google Forms, or web forms
    • Electronic newsletter software like MailChimp or Constant Contact
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • G Suite
The right experience can substitute for some of the formal education requirements.

  • Must have the ability to work in a self-directed manner on projects of varying sizes and complexity
  • Must be able to prioritize and keep track of tasks
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving and features lots of change
  • Must have a keen interest in learning and trying new things, and not be afraid to experiment with creative ways of solving business problems
  • Must have the ability to use vendor help, research, hands-on experimentation, and other methods to identify potential solutions and troubleshoot technology problems
  • Must have a strong commitment to creating usable, accessible technology solutions
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate about technology with team members of all technical abilities and at all levels of the organization
  • Must have a customer-friendly and go-getter attitude
