Classification Title: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Job Description:

The Department of Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a full-time tenure track, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, to join a team of productive investigators in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. The Division's research faculty consists of 10+ principal investigators whose research interests include: transcriptional control of innate lymphoid cells, biology of alpha-1 anti-trypsin, iron regulation as anti-microbial host defense, mechanisms of fibrogenesis in interstitial lung disease, role of myeloid-derived suppressor cells in pulmonary hypertension, development of cyclic dinucleotides as novel vaccine adjuvants, and the role of innate lymphocytes in transplant rejection. The academic environment of the University benefits from a strong and collaborative faculty, state of the art research space, numerous research core facilities including exceptional flow cytometry and advanced microscopy, as well as extensive opportunities for the development of translational research programs.

Research expectations are to establish and maintain an energetic, independently funded research program and participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students. Documented evidence of productivity, based on publications in appropriate peer-reviewed journals and successful competition for external funding.

PhD degree and appropriate field of study
