ATTENTION:

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking an Undergraduate Recruitment Manager (Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator II - AE084).

Academic Staff positions are provided fixed term appointments with annual renewals unless otherwise noted. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon performance, University funding and external forces.

JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Success and Academics, the Undergraduate Recruitment Manager assists with the planning, development, coordination, management, and execution of the College of Business and Economics online and on-campus undergraduate recruitment process in alignment with the institution's strategic goals and represents the institution to prospective students with a goal of attracting, and admitting a talented, diverse student body of new freshmen, transfer, military, international, and second-degree students.

The Undergraduate Recruitment Manager will help students navigate undergraduate business program options and requirements, and lead online students through the admission process. The individual will present information via online presentations, respond to inquiries, manage undergraduate business communications and records within the CRM, organize specialized campus visits, promote the College of Business and Economics at regional and national events, and will perform other duties as assigned. This is a 12-month, full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated experience in student support services, advising, customer service, marketing, promotions, sales, recruitment, or professional business
  • Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel/drive and work on occasional weekends and evenings
Desired Characteristics:
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to multi- task
  • Professional experience working with students and/or individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with use of CRM (customer relationship management) systems
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff and faculty
  • Basic research skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English with an ability to professionally speak, read, write, and translate between languages, is a plus

  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in the following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following examples of duties and responsibilities illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to the position, but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position.

· Recruit new freshmen, transfer, military, international, and second-degree students for the College of Business and Economics online and on-campus undergraduate programs

· Help potential students navigate undergraduate program options

· Assist viable, prospective online students with the admissions process

· Assemble unofficial transfer credit reviews for undergraduate online students

· Respond to inquiries in a timely manner, directing to other departments, as necessary

· Manage undergraduate business communications and records within Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

· Deliver College of Business undergraduate information sessions

· Evaluate effectiveness of current undergraduate recruitment techniques and recommend new strategies

· Organize specialized campus visits including informational presentations and guided facility tours

· Assist Undergraduate Admissions Department with larger group events such as Women in Business Day

· Promote transfer opportunities at regional technical colleges in coordination with Transfer Admissions recruitment

· Represent the College of Business and Economics at regional and national fairs, conferences, and organizations

· Work collaboratively with college recruitment, admissions, military, international, advising, and marketing personnel

· Communicate with students regarding important dates, services on campus, degree and graduation requirements.

· Understand available student resources

· Monitor program accuracy on university website, application, and communications

· Special projects and tasks, as assigned

The College of Business and Economics is an AACSB-accredited university offering Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degree programs both online and on-campus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
