The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Diabetes and diabetes care. This position will be predominantly hospital-based to provide care to inpatients as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

Teaching responsibilities may include conducting clinical and educational activities. There will be an opportunity to teach in the endocrine fellowship and internal medicine residency programs in the Perelman School of Medicine. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits of active and high-quality teaching responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing clinical care for outpatients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with hyperglycemia as well as ambulatory patients transitioning from hospital care. The selected candidate will be an integral member of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
