Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Associate Director is a member of the Alumni Relations team responsible for reaching the department’s engagement goals by creating, planning and executing on a year-long plan to communicate and engage its 20,000 alumni association members with the College and fellow alumni. S/he is responsible, under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations, for managing and training over 250 volunteers annually, is one of the lead organizers for Reunion Weekend and an on-campus partner to help deliver high quality events. S/he will also plan and execute Regional events throughout the year. They will supervise one full-time employee.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience, combined with a minimum of three years of related experience in higher education and/or volunteer management, or an equivalent combination of work and education. Volunteer management and event planning experience a must. A high degree of interpersonal and human relations skills, as well as a strong interest in customer service is required. The ability to simultaneously set priorities, make decisions, and handle multiple assignments is essential. Computer literate in Windows, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint – additional experience with Banner or Raiser’s Edge a plus.
Must be willing to travel.
