Applications are invited for appointment as Research Manager (at the rank of Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 516449), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree in Language Education, Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a related field; (ii) 3 to 5 years of research experience in conducting qualitative and/or quantitative educational research projects; (iii) solid statistical and computer skills (including SPSS, R, Mplus, SAS, Lisrel, Word, Excel etc.); (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) highly developed leadership, organizational and administrative skills; and (vi) the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team to conduct educational research.

The appointee will assist the Project Investigator to conduct a joint-institution research project on the teaching and learning of Chinese language for non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students, work out a research plan and schedule for the project, liaise with project team and other related parties to contribute to the timely delivery of research outcomes, manage all the data collected, analyze the collected data and findings to generate research papers for publication, and perform other duties as assigned.
