Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Anthropology. This anticipated opening is for the 2022-2023 academic year and is a two year initial appointment with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. Applications received by July 15, 2022 will receive fullest consideration. The search will be open until filled.

This lecturer position carries a 4/4 course load per academic year. Candidates are expected to teach introductory, upper-level, and graduate level courses. Candidates with the ability to teach advanced courses in ethnographic methods, applied anthropology, medical anthropology, and/or food and culture are preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to our existing graduate and undergraduate programs in anthropology. Geographical and topical areas of specialization are open; however, we are particularly interested in candidates with strengths in applied anthropology, medical anthropology, food and culture, or heritage studies. A commitment to de-colonial and anti-racist approaches to the curriculum is highly desirable.
