Position Summary:* The Department of MIS, OSC and Business Analytics (MOA) has an opportunity to be a part of a department where we stress collegiality, solutions to contemporary corporate issues, scholarship, excellence in teaching, and maintaining close ties between faculty members, students, and the business community. MOA invites applications for two positions at the Assistant Professor level, specializing in Business Analytics or Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSM). The expected starting date is August 16, 2023. The position entails teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, research, and service to the community, university and profession.

The Department faculty are well known for their research, teaching, and professional service. Specifically, faculty have published numerous articles in major academic journals, served in editorial positions of leading academic journals and as key officers in major professional organizations, and are recognized across campus for their leadership. MOA offers undergraduate majors in MIS and OSC, a Master of Business Analytics, and supports the MBA program with a variety of courses. Additionally, the department offers undergraduate minors in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Cyber-Security Management, MIS, and OSC. The Department is responsible for supporting all business undergraduates and MBA students with courses in MIS, OPS, Business Analytics, and Statistics. All degree programs offered by the department feature an applied capstone course in which students work with business organizations to develop and implement a solution to a current and meaningful problem.

Currently, the OSC and MIS majors average about 40 students per year each. Graduates are typically very well placed in the job market and are the highest paid graduates from like programs in Ohio. The newly launched MBAN graduates 20 to 30 students per year and continues to grow. Each program is partnered with an advisory board of business leaders that assist the program in various ways.
