Financial Proposal Development Specialist
Location: Moscow

Position Summary:
The Financial Proposal Development Specialist works within a team-based environment to support the Office of Research and Faculty Development's strategic initiatives to grow research, scholarship, and creative activities across all disciplines. This position provides grant-related consultation and proposal development support to faculty across all colleges at the university.The Financial Proposal Development Specialist will work directly with faculty members to develop proposal budgets primarily for multi-million dollar proposals, coordinate acquisition and review of subaward documents from partner institutions, and liaise with the Office of Sponsored Programs pre-award staff, appropriate departmental and/or college staff, and federal and other funding agencies. This position will also assist with the review of non-budgetary proposal documents, as available.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field or 4 years of related job experience
- Three years of full-time employment in a related position
- Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and applying laws, rules and regulations
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to small and large audiences
- Experience handling a variety of projects simultaneously that require a high degree of attention to administrative details
- Experience working in a customer service-oriented team environment to accomplish goals
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to small and large audiences
- Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
- Five or more years of full-time employment in a related position
- Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and applying laws, rules and regulations
- Experience working with faculty and other researchers in a university or similar environment
- Experience in proposal budget development or proposal writing
- Experience in sponsored programs administration
- Experience working with federal and private granting agencies
- Experience editing grant proposal documents
- Demonstrated experience in developing and presenting workshops
- Experience analyzing Requests for Proposals and interacting with funding agency personnel
