Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus is now accepting applications for CEPD Accounting Analyst. The CEPD Accounting Analyst prepares and examines financial records, ensures records are accurate and provides oversight of budgeting activities for Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD). This position is responsible for verifying the accuracy of revenue reporting and maintaining the financial module of the CEPD Student Information Systems (SIS).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles revenues and expenses in MDConnect and the CEPD SIS systems
  • Performs monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures
  • Compiles and presents profit and loss analysis, reports, budgets, business plans and financial statements to leadership
  • Analyzes and maintains budgets for all accounts under CEPD
  • Develops the annual budgets in collaboration with Business Affairs
  • Serves as the primary liaison between CEPD and Business Affairs
  • Monitors financial transactions, identifies potential budget issues, and provides recommendations and solutions
  • Oversees and maintains the financial module of the CEPD SIS
  • Monitors the integrity of all financial transactions including income and expenditures controls for CEPD
  • Completes financial forecasts and risk analysis for all activities with CEPD

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and two (2) years of experience in accounting; or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relate field and six (6) years of experience in accounting
