About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions, the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions is an essential member of the Admissions and Recruiting Team. The Associate Director of Graduate Admissions oversees the admissions pipeline process and activities for the MS in Business Analytics (Full-time/STEM and Online) and supports the recruiting and admissions activities for the Full-time & Part-time MBA, Master of Science (Finance, Management, International Management) and Graduate Certificate programs.
The Associate Director manages the admission operations, including application processing, admission and yield communications, database management (Slate, ApplyYourself, BusinessCAS, Salesforce and others) and reporting. The position will serve as liaison to the university's Enrollment Management team as well as vendors; and must be versatile and responsive to changing demands and circumstances, self-directed, and an effective member of a team. The ideal candidate will maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders both domestic and international, all levels of faculty and possess the ability to effectively interact with university-based cross-functional departments. Work may be performed remotely with the expectation of required time on-campus when needed (e.g., when supporting in-person programs) and work on special projects, as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Creates and executes pipeline activity schedule and executing
pipeline support activities that include regular communication with
inquiry/lead populations and applicants
- Reviews applications, makes recommendations for admission to
the Admissions Committee and communicates decisions to applicants,
including waitlist status and scholarship decisions
- Interviews candidates and tracks decisions and updates
applicant records in the CRM and admissions systems
- Plans and implements recruiting and yield events, including
open houses for admitted candidates
- Supervises and provides mentorship to Operations
Assistant
- Serves as the first point of contact at recruiting events such
as general information and program-specific sessions (on- &
off-campus or virtual) which may include corporate on-site visits,
MBA/MS fairs and forums, and university events
- Interviews candidates and tracks decisions and updates
applicant records in the CRM and admissions systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required,
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time professional experience
related to college admission, student recruitment at a regionally
accredited two-year or four-year college or university,
college/university development, or recruitment at a business
school.
- Proven track record of successful strategic planning, excellent
operational and systems management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products such as Outlook,
PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams, as well as the
ability to quickly learn new software and web-based
programs.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written
communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and interpret data to inform
decision-making on recruitment, admissions, and yield
strategies.
- Must be flexible and have the willingness to travel
domestically and internationally and work evenings and weekends as
needed.
- Strong project management/organizational skills with attention
to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to balance multiple
priorities for demanding constituencies.
Preferred:
- MBA preferred or graduate degree in higher education
administration
- Experience as a supervisor, with hiring, coaching, and managing
multicultural teams.
- Experience working with CRM lead/prospect management processes
and systems, including but not limited to application systems,
Salesforce, Tableau or other analytics tools.
