Position Overview

The Information Systems Analyst will perform implementation, modifications, documentation, support, and maintenance for Butler core ERP systems. He/she is responsible for providing support in a healthy, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective manner focusing on the business value. The Information System Analyst works closely with senior level analysts and serves as a resource to functional areas. This position will provide leadership by anticipating and planning upgrades and implementations and is responsible for ensuring all change control and documentation policies are followed. The Information System Analyst will work to support and implement integration strategies between the systems they support and Butler's data analytics, reporting and visualization solutions to ensure the appropriate information is easily available to meet university needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications as reports are received. Analyze the problems, amend the errors, and communicate solution back to the functional area.
  • Monitors application software systems to ensure proper execution and performance.
  • Provides complete documentation for new or modified information systems and/or application software programs including technical procedures and manuals.
  • Reviews code, troubleshoot issues, and makes enhancements to existing application software programs.
  • Work with functional areas to test new features and provide additional support as needed.
  • Participate in software upgrades, revisions, fixes and patches. Create system test plans and ensure change control and procedures are documented.
  • Manage multiple priorities and interact effectively as a team member and participate in group meetings and team building activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years Information Technology experience or related field. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 6-8 years of experience will be considered.
  • Project management/business analysis experience.
  • Management of enterprise applications and systems ensuring availability, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Technical and functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft Financials or Human Capital Management applications.
  • Strong skills in developing interfaces, integrations and extensions and customization utilizing Oracle best practice methodology
  • The ability to analyze, visualize, articulate, and conceptualize complex and noncomplex problems; ability to facilitate and develop innovative solutions in a collaborative manner with both technical and non-technical employees
  • Can manage multiple priorities and interact effectively as a team member and participate in group meetings and team building activities
  • A self-starter, possessing the ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, train, and coach across various resources and scenarios. You will need to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work well under pressure.
  • Effectively work with and motivate peers in a high performance team
  • A high degree of technical aptitude over a large scope of IT software, applications and IT architecture disciplines.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in system/product design towards strong security, extreme performance and scalability, high availability, and manageability.
