This is a recruitment for two positions:

Position 1: An funded, ongoing appointment.

Position 2: A Temporary position, currently funded until one year from the date of hire.

Under the direction of the Chief Diversity Officer, and with considerable discretion, investigates claims of discrimination and/or harassment lodged by students, employees, faculty and others associated with the college.

Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable non-discrimination nonharassment law including Title IX, Title VII, ADA, and other laws protecting students and employees in higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience using trauma informed interview techniques for parties and witnesses.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders on complex matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations from intake to resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to mediate and utilize alternative resolution and problem solving processes to resolve internal organizational complaints.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and provide training regarding PCC policy and topics about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to belonging, diversity and inclusion, with a strong equity lens to serve students, staff, and faculty from a broad spectrum of identities and lived experiences.
Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

- Bachelor’s degree in social science, business, human resources, or related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

- 2 or more years of experience in the investigation of EEO, ADA, affirmative action or employment related complaints and mediating conflict.

- Experience working in a unionized environment and with a diverse population of students and staff is preferred.

Certification with ATIXA, AAAED, or Oregon Sexual Assault Taskforce

Position Grade HH Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $59,979 to range midpoint of $73,472. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $59979 to $86966 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent reaching, sitting, walking, and standing may be required. No special
coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job. Incumbents are required to work and maintain offices at more than one location. Frequent travel within the college district is required. Occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Following entry of a report on CIRTrac™ PCC’s Clery Specialist will (1) analyze the report for issuance of a timely warning or emergency notification; and (2) will determine if the report should be included in the annual statistical disclosures. The Clery Specialist shall annually assign CSAs online Clery Act training to ensure they are provided proper training to fulfill their reporting responsibilities required by the Clery Act and PCC’s Clery Act policy.
