Position: Full-Time Lecturer (12-Month) and Online RN-BSN Program Coordinator
Effective Date: On or about June 1, 2022
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications:
  • M.S. degree in Nursing
  • Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence
  • Ability to obtain or have a current California Registered Nurse license or other state Registered Nurse license
  • Ability to obtain a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist license/entitlement, if applicable
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

Note: Out-of-state applicants must provide evidence of a current license from their state and be willing to obtain California license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D., DNP, or Ed.D., in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related discipline. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by May 1, 2022.
  • Demonstrated online teaching effectiveness at the college level
  • Experience in management of online education or related leadership role
  • Clinical experience in nursing within the past five years

Duties:
  • Leadership in quality, maintenance, planning and development of post-licensure Online RN-BSN program
  • Assure compliance with California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and accreditation standards
  • Participate in accreditation process as lead contributor to Online RN-BSN program self-study
  • Oversee program admission processes and adhere to university and admission policies and procedures
  • Monitor curriculum alignment with School of Nursing (SON)
  • Develop and maintain curriculum including revision in collaboration with the SON Director
  • Oversee compliance with students' clinical requirements
  • Lead program assessment and quality improvement
  • Direct and mentor faculty on curriculum, courses, grading and policies, as appropriate
  • Foster retention and promote on-time graduation of students within the program
  • Participate in faculty governance at the departmental level
  • Maintain program records including but not limited to: annual program evaluation, program outcomes and updates, etc.
  • Initiate, establish, and supervise contract negotiations with clinical agencies, and act as liaison between community agencies, the post-licensure program and the SON
  • Teach courses in the Online RN-BSN program
