Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Cinematic Arts

The Media School at Indiana University invites applications for a full-time faculty member to support its growing Cinematic Arts program. Candidates interested in this non-tenure track position must have at least a master's degree in film, cinema or a related field. The ideal candidate is well-versed in distribution, including film festivals, traditional and emerging distribution models and streaming, and has a strong interest or demonstrated experience in teaching and developing courses in these areas.  

We encourage applications from candidates who have notable expertise in festivals or production management. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in diversity and inclusion practices, incorporating these practices in academics, with an ability to work with a diverse body of students and colleagues. Preferred candidates would have a terminal degree (MFA or PhD), university-level teaching experience and strong ties to regional and national film festival circuits.
