Description
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Flagler College invites applications for the appointment of Assistant Professor of Psychology starting in August 2023. Candidates must hold a PhD (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment). Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Cognitive Psychology/Science (or a closely related field). This is a full-time (4/4 load), on-site faculty position. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include teaching introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses as well as contributing to the Core experience and Honors programs, advising students, and serving on college committees. Applicants must demonstrate an ability and commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and conducting undergraduate research including supervising student research assistants and independent studies (as needed). Preferred applicants will be able to teach a variety of courses such as Introductory Psychology, Research Methods, Cognition, Learning & Memory, and Science of Learning. Flagler College is an independent, co-educational college with an enrollment of over 2,500 students. The College is located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, Approximately 35 miles south of Jacksonville and 55 miles north of Daytona Beach.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Cognitive Psychology/Science or a closely related field (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment).
