The Sheldon B. Lubar College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for the following tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to begin in Fall 2023.The primary responsibilities of these positions will be to provide high-quality research for publication in top-tier business journal and teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission of the Lubar College by engaging with, mentoring, and advising students, by providing service to the area, College, and University through committee support and other shared governance activities, and by enhancing the College’s strong linkages with the business community.

Assistant Professor - Finance

The required qualification is a Ph.D.in Business or closely related field,majoring in Finance or allied field,or anticipated completion by August 2023. Required qualifications also include demonstrate research potential in the Corporate Finance and/or Asset Pricing Finance area. Preferred qualifications include the capacity for teaching excellence, strong communication skills as evidence in teaching evaluations, and an ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the university and business community. In addition to, teaching experience or demonstrated interest in fintech or financial services-related courses. Highly preferred qualifications also include research record of exceptional quality published in top peer-reviewed journals.

Assistant Professor - Marketing

The required qualification is a Ph.D. in Business majoring in Marketing or related field, or anticipate Ph.D. completion by August 2023. Required qualifications also include proven research skills and a strong interest in teaching courses in Internet Marketing, Retail Management, Marketing Analytics and/or Database Marketing. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated evidence of the potential for high-impact research, the capacity for teaching excellence, superb communication skills as evidenced in teaching evaluations, and an ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the university and the business community.Highly preferred qualifications also include a research record of  exceptional quality published in top peer-reviewed journals.

Assistant Professor – Supply Chain & Operations Management

The required qualification is a Ph.D. in Business or closely related field, majoring in Supply Chain & Operations. Management or a related area,or anticipated completion by August 2023.Evidence of teaching experience is required. Required qualifications also include demonstrate research potential in, but not limited to, supply chain management, service operations, and/or business analytics. Preferred qualifications include scholars with a modeling focus and expertise in analytical methodologies. Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in Industry 4.0.
