Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and high level of communication skills: verbal, written and social media.

Experience with NCAA compliance software is highly recommended. Background in collegiate coaching preferred. License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The athletics program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution's overall program of education. This position will represent the athletics director in various capacities.

Duties typical of this appointment include but are not limited to:
  • Filter all recruiting video and get to proper coach based on recruiting area
  • Prepare appropriate correspondence with high school coaches and recruits.
  • Primary liaison with JumpForward Software including; Maintain database of recruits; Use appropriate resources within system to communicate with recruits and high school coaches; Email communications; Work with video coordinator to ensure all aspects of technology are utilized within NCAA guidelines.
  • Organize official and unofficial prospect visitations.
  • Oversee all on campus recruiting.
  • Work with Recruiting Coordinator, Assoc. AD for Internal Ops and Dir. of Compliance to ensure all NCAA and institutional guidelines are followed.
  • Complete paperwork for all aspects of visits i.e. lodging, meals, tours etc.
  • Assist coaching staff and Director of Football Operations in day-to-day oversight of football program including; Special projects assigned by Head Coach and Director of Football Operations; Assist in coordinating and organizing high school clinics; Assist with hiring and organizing student support staff; Entertain high school coaches and prospects at practice.
  • Monitor football's scholarship numbers
  • Project football's future player positional needs
  • Coordinate coaches recruiting travel and preparation
  • Serve as Liaison to NFL Scouts
  • Organizing NFL Pro Day
  • Oversee special administrative projects and tasks at the direction of the head coach and director of football operations.
Suggested Salary Range Commensurate with experience Physical Demands of Position
