Minimum Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in a related technical field or an MS in a related field.
    • A Ph.D, or MS with professional licensure (PE or architecture) is required for the Visiting Assistant Professor position.
    • An MS in a related technical field is required for the lecturer position.

Description of the Department or Unit

The Department of Sustainable Technology & the Built Environment is in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. STBE has around 800 majors and offers two undergraduate degrees: the B.S. in Building Sciences and Sustainable Technology. The Department also has a small Masters program offering the M.S. in Technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • The teaching load is four sections per semester. The primary teaching assignment may include Construction Estimating, Commercial Construction, Construction Administration, Planning & Scheduling, Integrated Design & Delivery, or Construction Visualization ( BIM ).
  • A service commitment to the Building Sciences program is expected.
